Burger Buns

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 260 g milk about 1 cup + 2 tbsp
  • 350 g flour about 2¾ cups
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 40 g softened butter 3 tbsp

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix yeast and milk. Add flour and mix until combined.
  2. Add salt and softened butter, then stretch and fold or coil fold until the butter is fully incorporated.
  3. Cover and let rest for 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  4. Divide the dough into 5 equal portions. Shape each piece into a burger bun as shown in the video and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Cover for 15 minutes, brush with milk, then bake at 400°F for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to 380°F and continue baking until golden brown.
  6. As soon as they come out of the oven, brush with butter and cover until completely cooled.
