Super easy recipe, no more need to buy these in the store which somehow never ever expire.
Ingredients:
1 cup warm water
2 tbsp active yeast
3 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 egg
3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients and let it sit 10mins until foamy
Add the rest and knead for 5 minutes or until a nice dough ball forms.
Divide into 8 pieces.
Shape buns in either hotdog or hamburger bun shape.
Cover and let it rise for at least 15 minutes, but I think it’s better to let is rise for an hour.
Preheat oven to 400F/200C.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
Optionally butter the tops with butter after baking and they’re still hot.
Don’t slice until they cool down a bit.
